As a hypnotherapist I work with clients who want to make a positive change in their life. I can help with alleviating stress, improving sleep, overcoming unwanted habits, or working towards a particular goal which might be work-based or health-related. For example, I work with people who want to achieve work-life balance improve confidence at work and address symptoms of burnout.
The approach combines elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused brief therapy and hypnosis. I work online with most of my clients. The initial discussion helps to develop a clearer picture of what you are trying to achieve. I share relevant psychological and neuroscientific insights which can help in understanding and addressing the issue. Hypnosis helps to consolidate your thinking through deep relaxation which is a very pleasant experience.
I have a PhD, degrees in Psychology and Cognitive Science and extensive experience of working in corporate and academic environments. Therefore, I have a good understanding of the challenges of organisational life. As a therapist I bring relevant academic knowledge, an evidence-based approach and a capacity to listen and be responsive to what you want to achieve.
Some therapies explore patterns of past behaviour which can raise awareness and achieve change over the long term. Solution focused hypnotherapy is forward looking and provides a positive space to achieve change quickly.
