Over the last 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with countless neurodivergent clients—children, teens, and adults alike. My personal experiences, combined with extensive training, have equipped me to provide the best support possible. I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned through running parenting groups for foster parents, leading specialised training courses, and spreading the belief that knowledge is power!
My journey has been anything but straightforward. It started when I was advocating for my firstborn’s diagnosis. I faced a decade-long struggle, starting when he was just 3 years old, and finally getting the diagnosis at 14. It was a lonely and frustrating experience, and I had to become my own best advocate. I researched, sought out support, and leaned on the wisdom of those around me (shout out to my incredibly patient SENco at the time!). When we finally got the diagnosis, it felt like both a victory and a moment of solitude.
Roll on to 2020, and two of my children received their own dyslexia diagnosis (I was diagnosed in 2015). Then, in 2022, they were both diagnosed with ADHD. This set off a lightbulb moment for me, realising that I share many of the same traits. I decided it was time to add myself to the waiting list for an ADHD diagnosis. Oh, and I got a big push from the professional who diagnosed my daughter—he told me, “We are two peas in a pod,” and suggested I get diagnosed too! That moment gave me the final nudge I needed, and I couldn’t help but laugh at how life comes full circle.
A doctor even suggested I write a book about my experiences—and while that’s a dream for the future, it’s on hold until my kids feel ready for our story to be shared more publicly.
Until then I am passionate about helping my clients navigate the twists and turns, whether it's yourself or your child.
